A Century on Pisgah Gravel & The Blue Ridge Parkway

Gravel route from State Rd 1512 to Ecusta Rd, Brevard, Transylvania County, North Carolina

"This route begins at the mouth of Pisgah forest, winding its way up Escusta trail before heading up Avery Creek road. After it hits 276 for a second, it jumps back on gravel heading north on Yellow Gap Road. Reaching the Mills River area, the route climbs again, this time up to the Blue Ridge Parkway. After taking a right to head down the Parkway, the route heads up Bent Creek gravel back to the Parkway. Then, it travels south on the Blue Ridge until it reaches 215. After heading down 215 towards Rosman, it picks back up on Pisgah territory via Shoal Creek road into Davidson River road. The route takes a left up Headwaters road for the last climb, before descending back down 276 and the Ecusta trail. About 50% of this route is gravel, 40% Blue Ridge Parkway, and 10% other road. Easy modifications include taking a left on the Parkway at the top of Wash Creek road to cut of the Bent Creek section, as well as continuing straight on Davidson River road into 276 instead of going up Headwaters road near the end. Enjoy!"

"There is only one spot on this route that is questionable, it's at the very southern tip of the route. I can't tell if it crosses the creek or not. Other than that, should be good to go."

Gravel route from State Rd 1512 to Ecusta Rd, Brevard, Transylvania County, North Carolina

"This route travels from Brevard (beginning at Ecusta Brewery) through Pisgah on gravel up to the Blue Ridge Parkway around Mills River. From there, it heads south on the Parkway before dropping off the Ridge on 276. The route hops back on gravel in Pisgah pretty soon, and then after traveling by Looking Glass Rock, finishes by taking 276 and Estatoe trail back to Ecusta Brewery."
